September 28, Mangalore, “Teaching is a noble profession. My parent was a teacher and if I get a chance I would become a teacher. Teacher is a like potter who moulds the students into a beautiful vessel. Therefore the responsibility of the teachers is immense in determining the future of our country”, said Osscar Fernandes, addressing the teachers at the Rosario Church complex.

 

 

 

 

 


Mr. Fernandes who was on his visit to the Rosario Cathedral, gave a patient listening to the difficulties of the teacher.  M.P. Noronha, advocate, congratulated Central Government for enacting Right to Education Act and stated that in the interest of providing best education teachers should be allowed to impart quality education to the students and they should not be burdened with other activities like Mid-day Meal, Census, Continuous Comprehensive evaluation etc.  In this background he urged on behalf of the teachers to pass suitable law to prevent misuse of the services of the teachers for any purpose other than imparting education.

 

 

 

 

 


Fr. J.B. Crasta, the Parish Priest of the Rosario Cathedral welcomed Oscar Fernandes, Blossom Fernandes  and J.R.Lobo, and offered prayers for their success. Fr. Alwin serrao, the principal of Rosaio Educationl Institutions, Fr. Roky Fernandes, Vice principal, Fr. Amith Rodrigues, the Asst. Priest, Felix Alburque and heads of educaationl institutions were present at this occasion.
