May 1, 2016 is a great and memorable day in the history of Rosario Cathedral.  There were 26 couples, who received the Sacrament of Matrimony before the Holy Altar and came together in the bond of Marriage.

Most Rev. Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop of Mangalore, celebrated the mass, preached the meaningful homily and blessed the naptial. There were also13 other priests of our diocese, namely, Msgr. Dennis Moras Prabhu, Vicar General of Mangalore Diocese, V. Rev. Fr J.B. Crasta, Vicar of Rosario Cathedral, Fr Clifford Fernandes, Professor, St Joseph’s Seminary, Fr Francis D’Souza, Administrator, St Antony Ashram, Fr Paul Melwyn Dsouza, Capuchin Father, Fr Aloysius Sanctiago, SDB, Parish Priest of Pavur Church, Fr Paul Dsouza, Assit. Vicar of Rosario Cathedral, Fr Neelesh Crasta, Guest Priest, Fr Vincent D’Souza, Principal of Rosario PU College, Fr Rocky Fernandes, Principal of Rosario College, Fr William Menezes, Estate Manager, Bishop’s House, Fr John Vas, Procurator, Bishop’s House, Fr Claude Corda OP, Dominican Father, joined to bless the nuptials.

Along with the Parish Priest and the authorities, SVP Association of our Parish, took keen interest to organise this event of community wedding and helped the poor young couples to become one in the bond of marriage.

In a special this year the couples have received the golden marriage ring and valuable things for their need. We congratulate all the couples and wish them very best in their married life.

We thank profusely all the donors, who gave their valuable contribution for the success this great event.
